Where will my dog stay while at Stay?

Each dog family has their own private 50 sqft suite with 6ft solid walls & comfortable beds.

Does my dog have to be socialized?

All guests of Stay have to be people friendly. No exceptions.

Will my dog be exercised during their stay?

Yes! Each guest enjoys playtime throughout the day. We offer big and small dog playgroups for social dogs and private playtime with an attendant for those who guests who aren't used to being around large groups of dogs.

Is there an additional charge for exercise?

Heck no!

Is there an additional charge for medications?

For most medications there is no additional charge.  We consider it part of the care your dog requires so it is included. We do however have to charge for injectable medications because we must have a staff member on-site who is trained at doing injections. The cost is$3 per injection.

What are your hours?

Pick-ups 7am-7pm M-F/9am-7pm Weekends
.
Late pickups available by appointment for additional charge.

Why do I have to have an appointment?

The Stay facility is quite large and often times we are out back taking care of the dogs! Our Front Desk Clerks can't always be in the front office and we don't want you to have to wait out front for us! Front Desk leaves for the day at 5pm so after that please call to let us know you will be arriving so we can meet you up front.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes. We require guests to be current on Rabies & Distemper Combo and have Bordetella within the last year (though we reccomend every 6 months).

Why can't I tour the facility when I drop my dog off?
There are a few reasons we do not allow tours at drop off. The most important reason is for your dog! We are trying to make the drop off experience quick and stress free for him or her. Once your dog has been taken back we don't want them to sense you are around, it makes for an easier settling in period. We also don't want our boarding guests to be disturbed! A new dog is enough excitement for our boarders, add in a new person walking thru and it is just too much. Our goal is always to keep our guests calm and relaxed. You are welcome to schedule a tour in advance of your dog's stay, we'd love to show you around. Stay is a fantastic place!!!

What should I expect when I drop my dog off?

First off please make sure to show up at the time expected to ensure that our Front Desk Clerk is ready for you! When you walk in you will be greeted by our staff and your dog will be whisked away upon entry.  We do this to reduce your dog's chance of becoming worried and getting anxious.  Often times it also helps our human clients for the same reasons!!! Stay staff will take your dog back, give him/her a chance to potty, and introduce them to their suite. They will return to the office shortly to review paperwork and the items you have brought along.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes. We require guests to be current on Rabies & Distemper Combo and have Bordetella within the last year (though we recommend every 6 months). Vaccines must be faxed in to Stay prior to arrival.

Is your facility secure?

Yes. All play-yards have 6ft+ fences with multiple gates for safety. Our hotel features both a security & smoke detection system that in an emergency alerts local police and fire. Plus, a Stay Supervisor lives on site (and believe us, they hardly leave)!

How often are the suites cleaned?

Housekeeping is scheduled to clean each guests suite daily while they are out playing. Suites are cleaned as needed beyond that.

What time do you recommend dropping my dog off?
We always recommend dropping your dog off as early in the day as possible. This ensures your dog will get exercise and plenty of time to settle into Stay before bedtime. It doesn't cost you any extra to drop off early so take advantage and let your dog have some extra fun! And really, don't most of our dogs hate to watch us pack anyway?!

Why should I bring my dog's own food?
It is much easier on your dog's tummy to have the food it is used to getting at home. The more normal we can keep their routine while away from home the better! There is charge for using Stay house food. $1 per meal for dry food. $2.50 per can wet food.

What should I bring for my dog's stay?

We recommend that you bring your dog's normal food and anything that may make him feel more comfortable like blankets, beds, toys, etc. Note: Please do not bring bowls unless your dog has special needs. It is hard for us to keep track of them because they are cleaned between each meal. We also do not want to accidentally break ceramic bowls. Below we have provided a checklist of things to bring for your dog's stay!

What should I bring for my dog's stay?

  • Vaccinations faxed over in advance
  • Completed Stay Paperwork
  • Food (there is a charge for house food)
  • Medications (in pill case if your dog receives more than 2 pills daily)
  • Bedding
  • Toy
